I guess this is too much for my really limited technical ability. No, I cannot find zotero.dot at all. So, that zotero.dot file should go in the Word startup folder? And I cannot get zotero standalone to work --it says profile missing. …

I've done all that. I've even tried to go manually into Library-Application Support, and looked under Firefox, Mozilla, and Zotero trying to find the word for mac plug in to add it manually to the 'add-in's' in word. I've reinstalled it severa…

Thanks, but my current trouble is with Word 2016. It worked fine in 11, but I can't get back to 11.
-
let me add: I found 'templates and add-ins' but there is none listed for zotero. Is there a way to find it manually?
-
Anyone else have this problem, or any ideas? Thanks

Nothing unusual about the setup. No security software. Thanks!

I reinstalled the Word add-in, and now it will work. New footnotes are italicized, but I've refreshed Zotero and existing ones are not.

New development. I tried a new document just to see if it would happen again, and now zotero icon is showing up but not working at all. I've restarted everything including the computer a few times. I also tried my current document, zotero also no…

Did it all, except I am not sure I actually disabled track changes. Trying to figure out how to do that. But, the problem persists.

That appears to have worked! Thanks.

It's never worked --classic view works fine. I press "add citation" and get the red window. I enter the info. Is there something I'm not doing? I've tried hitting return and tried just going on with the document. Either way doesn't work.

Document modified during update @[setCode:field.m:585]' when calling method: [zoteroIntegrationField::setCode] The greater problem is not being able to use the default method of inserting and it simply putting {citation} in the footnote. T…

I did, but it is still lagging.
-
Ok, I'll try that.
-
ok, thanks. That seems to have eliminated the lag.
-
Thanks for the quick response! It's when I'm typing notes on any given work...goes to the color wheel and lags in typing...I would say 5-10 seconds, which makes it difficult to type.
