"can you open Zotero for Firefox by clicking on the Zotero word at the lower right? Note that this can only work if you do not have Standalone running while you try." That helped. Z-icon is now visible in location bar. Is my computer now having two…

I tried a restart. Still no Zotero icon in location bar in FF. I moused over Zotero word in lower right of FF and saw the message that "The Zotero data directory could not be found." However, when I open Z "standalone", my data file is present and f…

I installed FF-Zotero-3.0.13 from http://www.zotero.org/download. Restarted FF, restarted Zotero "standalone" 3.0.13. Two different urls tested. Zotero's download icon remains unseen in location bar in FF.

Thanks for the prompt reply. A FF-add-ons search for Zotero brings forth Zotero 3.0.11. Will that work with an already installed "standalone" 3.0.13?

Happened to me just now during install of Zotero 3.0.12. I don't know how to fix the problem on my Win7 computer.

I installed LO 3.6.5 on my HP w7 computer and will have to determine when LO 3.6.5 will be available in the Ubuntu Software Center (perhaps already). I need my Acer to remain functional so I dare not try a by-myself installation from LO source http:…

After these various, appreciated posts, a correction. My Acer 1410 with Xubuntu 12.04.1 is running LibreOffice writer 3.5.4.2 Build 350m1 (Build 2). My w7 computer is a HP dv7t with MS Word and - for this thread - was running OO 3.4.1. If need be…

Procedure on Xubuntu Acer-computer, same procedure on Win7 computer. In my Zo database, search for Martin. That retrieved 5 cites. I used Ctrl-click to select 4. Then I used right-click to create bibliography in rtf format. Options for 'save as' di…

My initial biblio-test was on a computer running Xubuntu 12.04.1, version 3.0.11.1 of Zotero. I just did a 2nd test (same cites) with a computer running Windows 7, Zotero 3.0.11.1. Each operating system offered me a different list of biblio-format c…

Having installed Zotero both as standalone and in Firefox, Zotero seems to be working properly. The suggestions have been appreciated.

I use Firefox on Ubuntu computer and on Win7 computer. I found an online suggestion that with Z standalone open, I still needed Zotero plugin installed in Ffox. I did that, now both computers show the Add symbol.

My Zotero standalone (on Ubuntu 12.04, 64 bit, 4g ram) is no longer displaying the Add symbols. I tried two at books.google.com and a specific NYTimes article.

I may have learned how to import book references. However, each book in the middle column seems to appear as a subfolder in left column. I have a screenshot but don't see how to post it.
