The update mentioned a year ago above doesn't seem to have happened. Could someone please clarify when this update will be implemented, so that users can disable the option to enter a DOI and it goes straight to creating a parent item? Thank you.

Happened again. PDF icon showing but it wouldn't save to Zotero. Reloaded several times but it still didn't work. Finally I opened a new tab and copy/pasted the PDF's URL and then it worked. Debug ID D157971611

Sorry I forgot to say, I have standalone 5.0.33. It could be a coincidence but this problem started after the last standalone update, I don't recall an issue (in Firefox at least) with PDFs before that.
