Cmd-down-arrow used to work for me, but now it doesn't again. I'm using Mac Word 2011 with Zotero 4.0.28.1. Is there a new trick that we need to learn?

I have edited the style changing: subsequent-author-substitute="true" to subsequent-author-substitute="——" and it appears to work now. I made the change in github, so it should show up soon.

I generated this by "Add bibliography" in Mac Word. I get the same behavior by selecting them in zotero and using the "Create Bibliography from items" tool. Zotero 4.0.19 and Zotero for Word Mac 3.5.7. So it appears that the ones listed as "tru…

I'm now getting inconsistent results with repeated authors in Mac Word 2011. It looks like zotero automatically updated to the new 3/29/14 version of this style. Sometimes the repeated authors are still spelled out, other times they are replace…

FWIW, while the AMS does this in typesetting for the journals, their style guide actually says not to do it in submissions. The current website doesn't mention it one way or the other, but the text below is from the 20081103 guide (still online at h…

Ahh, got it now... I think I had previously had to press the

This used to work, but as of the latest update, the command down arrow is no longer working for me on the Mac. Anyone else having this issue?

I believe I have fixed the Publisher/Pages issue, just have to wait for it to work its way through git. On my computer, it appears to be doing the "Eds." correctly already. Please verify that is the case for you too. Let me know if I've b…

It appears to work on recent articles (since 2006). A bit strange, but at least there's progress...

Thank you. That worked. In the same directory, there was also a file "Zero.dat", which I left alone. Everything seems to be running smoothly now.

The Library Catalog field is: "AMS Online Journals - Allenpress"

Yes, until 1 month ago, Zotero would recognize the abstract page as an article. Now it recognizes it as a website. The workaround is to click on the "download citation manager" link and download it as end notes. It requires some extra clicking, a…

I contacted the AMS webmaster, and their response was that they cannot accommodate individual requests or support third-party add-ons. So I guess it's up to the zotero developers to see if there is anything they can do.

Does anyone know who would be able to fix this issue? My guess would be that the problem is probably on the AMS's side, since it was their upgrade that messed it up. I don't know if maybe it's something zotero can accommodate though. I'm very…

I have made a few tweaks to this style. Specifically, I think it handles conference presentations better now. The newest version also adds "p." when referring to specific page(s), and "pp" after number-of-pages for book citations. A word of c…

Haha, yeah, looking through the styles for an analog, I was amazed at how many marginally different ways these publications do the same thing. It's impressive to me that zotero can handle it as well as it does. It seems like the important stuf…

The citations are correct, e.g., (Jones et al. 1999) But the bibliography should look like: Jones, A. B., and Coauthors, 1999: ..... Currently, it is Jones, A. B., et al., 1999: .....

I'm having trouble figuring out how to do "and Coauthors" in the bibliography for articles with 8 or more authors. From the forums, http://sourceforge.net/mailarchive/message.php?msg_id=fbb7c5df0812120613p610a3bd2oc0a5e895240dab13%40mail.gmail…

Yeah, thinking about it more, for some reason I think the AGU replaces page numbers with "RG2003, doi:10.1029/2004RG000158". So this is not an issue for the citation style, it's a difference in how the citation should be imported in the first place.
-
I think I fixed those errors now. I'm somewhat interest in the p/no p, but it's a fairly low priority. A higher priority would be figuring out the bibliographical entries for online journals. For example, something like: Zhang, C.,…

Ok, looks like it's all set to go. The style can be found at: http://www.zotero.org/styles/ametsoc/dev?install=1 And the Import/Export discussion is at: http://forums.zotero.org/discussion/10671/new-american-meteorological-society-s…

I committed the file. It's not showing up yet on the website, so I'm not sure if I did something wrong or if it just takes a little while.
-
Ok, I made all the changes except for the p. vs no p. The only other issue I see is for people with hyphenated first names. They should be included in the bibliography as "C.-P.", but right now it's just the first initial "C.". I'm also h…

That wasn't so bad. I'll submit it as soon as zotero comes gives me permission. A few items that I did not or could not do: -- Number of pages in book citations. From what I can tell this is a deficiency with zotero. -- Letters when th…

I also would love to see support for AMS journals. I believe "Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory Press" might be a closer analog. I'm new to zotero, so some of the issues mentioned by blackfox might be true for all journals. Here are some specific dif…
