I am thinking about setting up a NAS and hosting a WebDAV server for Zotero, but I wonder about the difficulties that I'll encounter. Please let us know if you solve this issue

Hmm, this probably wouldn't be difficult to accomplish with some combination of AppleScript, Automator, Hazel, etc. But I am still curious if a plugin like this exists.

I can confirm that the problem was caused by the OCR layer on the PDF. Thanks, martynas_b :)

Fair enough. I wonder what would cause my OCR tools to produce such oddly formatted text layers. I'll look into it

I have noticed this, too. I prefer my PDF attachments to not be renamed, but Zotero renames all such attachments to "PDF." I wrote a script to rename the attachments according to their filenames. This is a kludgy solution, but I do not mind it too m…

Zotero 7 now allows for the Extra field to be a visible, indexable column on the main pane. Very cool.

Apparently, this is a known bug in Zotero 7 (beta). I re-installed Zotero 6, and the page labels are being detected.
