I think scite.ai offers something similar. You can specify a Zotero folder and ask questions to a RAG-model that works with the papers in the folder. Of course you’ll need a subscription to use it and I think it may be that it only works with file…

It would be really cool to have a cover view in Zotero. I've moved from Kindle to Zotero and transferred all my ebooks. I was missing the Kindle widget showing the book I was reading and made a work around. I don't think it is too difficult to make …

@avoyager i guess the answer depends on how important hand drawing is. I find the zotero client good enough to just read and highlight, but neoreader is of course better for drawing and to reduce the input lag. The zotero integration on boox is a…

I have boox note air 2 plus tablet and a smaller nova air. Both have bw e paper screen and let's you draw with a pen. The first has built in zotero support so you can download pdfs in the gui and let them be synced back into the zotero cloud automat…

I wasn't able to upload the image now, but the colors aren't labeled in the beta. They are different shades of grey dots. I guess they follow an order so that you can choose the correct color if you remember the ordering I've been using the web libr…

Thank you! Works great on Boox Note air 2 plus. And the palm reaction is very good. Nice to see how the app develops!

Sorry! Forgot about webdav. Didn't know you could use that with Zoo and I haven't used it before. (I think zotero can write the zotero annotations to the pdf when you're using the program on desktop. It was at least discussed in a post earlier. If …

One alternative is downloading them (or annotating them) in the web library. You can download the pdfs with annotations from the web library. If you're not drawing a lot the web view of pdfs is very good for highlighting and reading.

Thanks for the quick response. Even before you fix it it's fantastic with epub support in the web library
-
Yes, it seems to work well. I'm attaching what I see in the header in the web viewer. It shows first a local number based on the size of the page you're watching and then the "real" page number and the number of pages. https://s3.amazonaws.com/zote…

I tried it now on my Boox note air 2 plus and the pdf showed up in the attachment tab. I managed to both draw, underline and highlight with neo reader and it synced as it should to zotero. However, the underline did not show up as an annotation so …

The hover feature is great! It would be really cool if you could include it in the Android version too. Now, when I use the web library I'm able to hover with my pencil on android, but not in the beta app. I'm using a Boox note 2 and it works with…

(Not really what you're looking for but) the epub-reader in the web library works very well and also works in safari on ios. I've used it alot already for epub books.

I can't get page turning to work on Zotero Beta version 80 on a Boox Note 2. When I touch the side of the page in a pdf it either shows me the thumbnail pages at the bottom or does nothing. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong but I've restarted the ap…

Will the recently read collection be available across devices? And through the API?

It does not seem to be a problem anymore. I've opened multiple epubs (also new files) and none behaved like before. I wasn't able to add files to zotero ios from inside the app, but shared them from finder on ios. When I opened the web library after…
-
Ok! I didn't think about that possibility. I probably added the problem epubs on my iphone (ios beta) and the others (that worked) on my computer with the 7 beta from calibre. When I downloaded the files and added them again via the web library uplo…

if you put everything you want to download in a folder you can long press the folder and select download attachments. was that the functionality you're after?
-
Are you planning on opening more testing slots any time soon? I guess I'm not the only one eagerly awaiting the possibility to try Zotero on Android.
-
Great news! Thank you for important work! (It is crazy that no one else has made a tool for syncing annotations across epubs (except inside the Kindle-wall).
-
The epub reader is great news. I was wondering if it will support epubs with adobe DRM? Or is it only useful for epubs without drm? I guess most ebooks are still saddled with DRMs even when they are in the epub format.

I would really like a column for "date last opened" so that I can sort the pdfs by when I last opened them. This would be really great on the ipad where I sometimes can't find the file I was just in. And if I didn't add an annotation it won't show u…

I want to support this request. I also think it would be great if one could open the metadata/info-view when inside a pdf. Sometimes I open pdfs with no information in them about the author or title or where I have to go to the front page of a very …

Ok. When you're saying yet, you mean this is something that will change? Or will it continue like that also after Zotero 6 is launched and the PDF-reader is included etc.?

Thank you for the help! I'm more positive to the new system now. I think a "Replace pdf"-button would be a really good addition if your able to add that to the web library. One more question about the built-in annotations concerning the web library…
-
Thank you for the swift reply! That would be helpful, although my first idea is more powerful and quick (the ability to replace just by uploading a similarly named file). I'm not sure if pdf annotation in the browser will work well on the eink tab…

Thanks for the tip. I think that's correct. I didn't know the web version of Zotero could export a simple bibliography from selected entries. The web version looks much nicer than before.

A Zotero iPad app is great news. In addition, Papership has finally been updated (twice in the last two months)!! The updates say "bug fixes" and "interface improvements", and there are at least new icons inside the app ;)

Works great again! Thank you! :)

As with most things latex, it is a bit more complicated than with word/libre office, but not very difficult. If you use the better biblatex plugin in zotero (https://retorque.re/zotero-better-bibtex/), you can auto export your library to a bib-fil…
