Can confirm the missing selection/highlighting of the annotation and in the left side bar for PDFs. (7.0.0-beta.42+2db19ad4c running on OpenSuse Leap 15.4.).

As a workaround, you could open the entry in the pdf viewer and select an annotation there (or create a new one). Then you can do a copy-and-paste with control-C. This yields two links: one to the annotation and one to the pdf.

The search should be working normally for you Sadly it doesn't. There are still a good many items - despite reindexing on the desktop side and resyncing - which are not retrieved by the web library search.
