okay, just submitted Debug ID 2091989696

Thanks, I have messed with that idea but as you mention, for me, the drawbacks outweigh the benefit.
-
Yes Stephen, I see that behavior too
-
I am using 7.011 in Win 10 and I do not see this behavior. I can start a new line in the comments with a standard carriage return. Paragraph breaks in the highlighted text are not maintained in the annotation, but they can be added manually.

This is excellent - thanks

In my experience, slow rendering is almost always due to the compression method of the pdf. JPEG is by far the fastest, but files size is lousy. JPEG2000 used to be really slow, but the new PDF.js in Zotero has improved that a lot; however, JBIG2 is…

I was finding similar behavior in Windows Beta Z7. The citation dialog was taking many seconds to open on a long doc with hundreds of citations. I am now on 7.0.4-beta.3+5bd5bfa34 (64-bit) and the dialog is opening much quicker on that same document…

The Select in Zotero tool in Reference Extractor works for Z6, but has anyone ever got the Select in Zotero tool to work with Z7 Beta?
-
I have also seen slower loading of the word plugin when adding a citation, but that may because the doc I am working on has hundreds of citations. I rebuilt the index and it took about 48 hours for about 14 million words (12k docs). Not sure, if tha…

1) the search in the reader 2) Yes, and the longer the pdf the more time it takes.

Yes, I emailed it to support

This is very helpful, thank you. And thank you @Adam Smith for the preview format as well. I would also echo the request to somehow set the title apart a little bit. Any chance to set the color of the text through the biblio preview format?
-
FYI, a number of decoder enhancements are now in the latest build, v4.2.67.

@adamsmith: "There are plans for a solution that properly implements narrative citations." Just wondering about any progress on this. I use the narrative type "Smith (1776:123)" most often in footnotes, any help to avoid manually changing these wou…

Yes, that is interesting, because I see the same spacing problem in Acrobat as well for those files. So there must be some difference in the way pdf readers treat the text layers.
-
I run into this on occasion as well, even with non-skewed texts. The odd spacing appears to be an artifact of the OCR, as I sometimes get it the Abbyy Finereader Ocr program. It usually goes away with redoing the OCR.

Same here on Beta 71 Windows portable

Focus works for me in Windows Beta 65. However, since I can remember, the item always appears at the bottom of the library panel, and sometimes it is even slightly hidden, making it difficult to see. Is there a reason for this?
-
I've got several 300mb + pdfs that I have dragged into Zotero 6 without issue. I even have got 1GB + files to load okay, so I doubt that is the problem. Sometimes the indexing can take a long time and there seems like no response. I have also had…

I also have the problem with their site that books download as book sections.
-
Very good - Thanks for clarification.
-
I have used the unique word approach, and though it works, it is easy to forget and lose track of what is what. Since the title is just the first line of the note, there is no separate title field, so perhaps a separate tag search would be the easie…

Outstanding - thank you
-
Given the native dark mode in Z7 55, this plugin is no longer needed going forward; however, it is a huge blessing for Z6 and the dev deserves many thanks!
-
That's great - thank you!
-
@mjthoraval thanks for the tip and the link
-
Great - thanks!
-
I would find that very convenient as well, except that there could be more than one pdf in an entry, and the annotation appear to be linked. But perhaps they could show it for entries with only one pdf, which in my case is 99.9% of biblio entries.

Sorry, should have added I am using the Windows 64bit Zip beta 55, and the link is opening in the Zotero browser
