I wrote this because I was submitting a paper to a special volume of ACS. I discovered the bug when I went to revise this paper this week. But others might want to use it too. What is currently in the repository is unusable. Wouldn't it be a g…

Is the next release anytime soon?

I removed line 79 This was causing the bibliography to format in a very weird way. Apparently the auto-translation had a glitch in this case. The one I posted works fine with Zotero 2.1. Michael

Thanks much.

This is what I did. I did NOT use the OO or Word plugin for this. I simply did a create bibliography on the clipboard and pasted it into OO. I just tested again in a couple of different ways. Using drag and drop has the same problem, but …

I just installed LibreOffice 3.3 RC2 on my Mac. The toolbar for Zotero appears, but nothing happens when I click any of the toolbar buttons. I looked at the link for pathing to OO that Adam Smith mentioned above, but this is for Linux; it is not cle…

OK. But it made no difference--even though I quite firefox and reopened it. This entry is still in the createrData table. And I can find its itemID in the itemCreators table too. But I can't figure out how to see which records these are to see…

Sometimes a stab in the dark is on the money. In this case, I didn't empty the trash but did look in it and there is nothing related to Zotero. In most cases, purging the sql data tables should not send anything to the trash I would think. Mich…

Well, I tried the trick in about:config and like benbyerly and tdquinn above found, it doesn't purge. I even shut down and reopened Firefox. I recently went through all my own papers to make my name identical in all so as to avoid disambiguati…

As a workaround until batch editing can be implemented, can this be cleaned via the sqlite tables? If I find an orphaned creator in the createrData table and delete this, along with the matching record in the creators table, will the orphaned creato…

Thanks Things to try: 1) Restart Firefox. Didn't work 2) Reset your translators in the Advanced pane of the Zotero preferences. Did work! 3) Disable your other Firefox extensions.

Hope so. I'm looking forward to the update.

update.xsl may not be working completely correctly. See post: http://forums.zotero.org/discussion/15302/extra-line-feeds-when-zotero-21b2-parses-some-styles/#Item_1

I got this through validation with the xml line back in this time. For me at least, there is a little confusion in the docs over how these are supposed to look. But I appreciate your helping me get this one right. Note that I started with a valid st…

It would not validate without deleting it. Should I put the line back in with version="0.8.1" and encoding="UTF-8"? When I checkout styles from the repository, all are listed as version="1.0"
-
Thanks for the image. I guess I also had to strip off the line: That validated against CSL 0.8.1. I've committed the changed file. The weird thing is that I started with a validated CSL style, and the things that were not validating were things …

Thanks. So far I have not been able to duplicate this. I just get the following message now: IO Error: HTTP resource not retrievable. The HTTP status from the remote server was: 404. I'm following the instructions on the dev page

This style is not validating. But when I run it through validator.nu the problems it has are from sections copied exactly from other styles in the repository. When I try to run some of the styles in the repository through validator.nu, t…

I've been having similar problems. I sent the invitations AND they show up at the bottom, but my colleagues don't receive them. The people I'm inviting are in Spain (does a foreign email cause a problem?). I'm on a Mac with the most current ver…

[NOTE: moved from other sync thread. I have the same problem as others here] Since the most recent upgrade, I've been trying unsuccessfully to sync for about a week now. I have had my laptop active on the university network for hours at a time …

Thanks. This gets me part of the way at least.

So how do I compile the safari and chrome plugins now that I've got the source. The update_resources.sh shell script doesn't seem to do that AFAICT, and I didn't see any other files that were obviously for compiling in the rest of the source code. T…

OK. I did a successful checkout. Thanks for noticing the typo. It is connector not connectors. But it is https not http. -------------------- The first time I started the standalone, it asked if I wanted to use my default database in Firef…

Not all new versions of Zotero upgrade the database. Just noting that the standalone does upgrade the database. Where does the backup go? Same Firefox directory? ---- I tried the non-secure http version too, although the zotero svn web pag…

I just tried to check out the safari and chrome plugins and was forbidden by the svn. Any idea as to why? Here is the svn command and results. I double checked my password and it is OK (which is why I can post to this forum). ======================…

I just tried the standalone. On my Mac (OS 10.6.4) I built it using the build_sa shell script without modification and it went fine. I had installed xulrunner from the Mac binary previously. For building the standalone, I just did an SVN checkout, c…

This is all wonderful news. Does a safari plugin mean that Zotero will work on iOS?
-
Can anyone offer instructions on how to build Zotero standalone? I'd like to try it out and see where it's headed. I checked out the source from the svn but there are no build instructions of any kind with it. That seems kind of strange, and there a…

Same issue here. My syncing is stalled. The wheel keep turning, and I get the same messages documented above. I've tried all sorts of things to get it going, including restarting FireFox and doing a sync reset. This means that I do not have access o…
