• Thanks for the reply! It helped me to identify 'my problem': I had "all fields and tags" in the search settings, so all notes were also searched and opened... With the "title, author, year" search setting, only the references themselves are display…

• Is there a way to do this automatically, i.e. set preferences so that items are automatically shown in single lines instead of listing all the notes, etc.?
