Informaworld Translator Error

  • rekcor and Jon Rubin: In the updated translator now in the repository, your issues are all fixed.

You can save the updated translator (https://www.zotero.org/trac/browser/extension/trunk/translators/Informaworld.js?rev=6920&format=txt) to the translators directory of your Zotero data directory and things should start working again.

When this is pushed to users (ahem...), this should go away for everyone.
  • This has been pushed (Thanks Dan!), so your copy of Zotero should update automatically in the next 24 hours, or you can click "Update Now" from the Zotero preferences.
  • Thanks!

Looks like Informaworld is quite troublesome. Is this because they are regurlarly changing the layout?
  • They often make small changes, but it is still fairly easy to keep up with them. Some other sites are much more complicated.
  • Ok. Thanks for the good work!
  • Yes, thanks for the fix.
  • I tried to import from this site, but I was unsuccessful:

    http://www.informaworld.com/smpp/content~db=all?content=10.1080/00221687509499713

The error is below. I installed the addon from the previous discussion, but this did not work

Is the method of higlighting the doi then clicking the import icon meant to work still? It did not.

    Thanks for your help,
    Charlie

  • On a separate note, is there any chance that the problem with importing from ASCE will be resolved? For example, http://ascelibrary.org/hyo/resource/1/jhend8/v127/i3/p194_s1 does not work.

    Thanks,
    Charlie
  • carhogg, never post items "on a separate note" to the same thread. The relevant thread with answer is here:
    http://forums.zotero.org/discussion/18458/asce-translator-error/#Item_9
  • Please go to http://github.com/ajlyon/zotero-bits/raw/master/Informaworld.js and save the file to the translators directory of your Zotero data directory (http://www.zotero.org/support/zotero_data).

It should start working again. If this works for you, please post here so that I can submit this change to be pushed to all users.
  • Thanks ajlyon. That works great.

adamsmith, my apologies. The link was helpful.
  • I've now committed the changes-- this should be fixed in the next release of Zotero.
