Frozen add/edit + Error message

I am getting the same problem described here: http://forums.zotero.org/discussion/17728/formatregistry-undefined/

I am using Openoffice 3.3.0, Zotero 2.1.6 and Firefox 3.6.16

The document is my PhD dissertation, 300+ pages long. It's crunch time and this error is holding up my submission! Am I going to have to revise my citations manually?

I struggle to understand the code discussed in other posts, if someone can advise me, please do as as if to a five year old!
  • If you check your messages on zotero.org, I can provide you with a copy of Zotero 2.1.6 with the latest citeproc-js version. Can't guarantee immediate success, but it might clear your errors.
  • Just wondering if there might be any more advice for me...I have an error report ID 333996550

At the moment at I can't enter any new cotations or edit them, even with a new attempt, I'm prompted "Replace this Zotero field?" and then am told the field code has been corrupted, do I want to reselect the item, and that "no
will delete the field codes for citations containing this item, preserving the citation but potentially deleting it from my bibliograaphy.

Then, I get an error message - "Component returned failure code: ns_error_failure" etc.

This is now on a PC, using Firefox 4, Zotero 2.1.6 and Word 97

Zotero WinWord Integration: getDocument() could not find document in ROT
Does it work in a new document?

If so, see Debugging Broken Documents.
  • Have tried both copying and pasting, and copying the file as a new document as per those instructions, but to no avail.

You didn't answer my question. Does the plugin work normally in a new document?

And you'll need to be more specific about what you tried from those steps. Does it happen if you just copy a small section? If not, copy more until you reproduce the error.
