Zotero menu in Word is unresponsive

The Zotero menu in Word (2011 for Mac) has become completely unresponsive. It was working fine one minute then just stopped. Word now freezes every time I try to do anything in the Zotero menu. I have restarted everything several times, I've made sure Zotero and all plugins are up to date, I've run the "Reinstall Word Add-in" option, etc. Everything seems to be fine in Firefox, it's just Word. Any help would be much appreciated.

    See here. It would be great if you could try what I've posted there and let me know if it fixes the issue. Alternatively, if you are running Mac OS X 10.6 or later, you can upgrade to Firefox 4, which will almost certainly fix the problem.

    Hi, I got exactly the same problem using Word 2004 for Mac. It also happened from one minute to the other, Word now freezing every time. Also did everything as mjscalia (checked the plug-ins, deinstalled and reinstalled the plugins, restarted the computer) - nothing helps.
    Would be great if someone has an idea.

    I can't upgrade to Firefox 4.0 right now (a separate but equally frustrating problem), but when I do will I need to update anything for Zotero?

    You won''t have to do anything special when you upgrade to Firefox 4, but you should manually install Zotero 2.1.3 and the associated Word plug-in from the zotero.org front page when it is released, hopefully later today.

    I chose the other option and upgraded to Firefox 4.0 - now it works. Thank you, Simon!

    Zotero 2.1.3 is now out. It should fix the hang for Firefox 3.6 users. Those who were on the branch should install Zotero 2.1.3 from http://zotero.org/ and MacWord Integration 2.1.2 from the word processor plugin installation page.
