exporting coins for conference papers

Hello,

I was trying to create a smart bibliography for my website. However, when I "create bibliography for selected items", the exported webpage does not seem to contain the Coins for documents of "conference paper" type.

A workaround would be to create a "journal article" with the same data and export that.

Graham
  • Thanks Graham,

    For the time being your work around will have to do. We currently export COinS for journalArticle, book, thesis, and patent. There is a ticket out for making our COinS export more robust. https://www.zotero.org/trac/ticket/829
  • Thanks again for all the excellent work on Zotero.

    It is a peerless tool for writing and research.
  • A more useful generator -- especially for book chapters, which Zotero also does not support for COinS export -- is http://generator.ocoins.info/?sitePage=info/book.html&;

    Here you can generate the COinS codes to put into your html.

    As someone who is enthusiastically spreading the word about Zotero to collagues and grad students, I'd like to request that you at least add COinS export support for book chapters or sections. In most humanities bibliographies, they are the third most important category of citation, after journal articles and books.

    We've found several problems with the ocoins.info generator. Please note that it does not always generate span tags according to the specification (e.g. superfluous author parameter). Book chapter COinS export will be improved in Zotero 1.0.3, but there is still no way to disambiguate chapter author from book editor in the COinS spec. They'll all be exported or imported as authors. Thanks for bringing this issue to our attention.
