Hi,
I have often wondered if once you select the 'save citation' icon in the address field and the little box in the bottom right appears telling you what Zotero is saving whether you need to wait until the box disappears before changing tabs or moving on.
Could one of the programmers indicate at what stage it is safe to proceed with your Internet searches. My assumption has always been that you wait until this message box disappears (2-3 seconds).

In some cases Firefox will be frozen for a very short moment, though.
