labels for items?

I would like to have a labeling function in zotero. Just like the Gmail labels. Anybody wants that too?

    Perhaps you mean the ability to assign colours to labels/tags? This is a planned feature - see this thread. Otherwise I don't know of any substantive difference between Gmail's labels and Zotero's tags.

    Hi, Bionatsci. Yes, that is what I mean. Good to know that. And actually I don't know how to apply one tag to multiple items, you know, in Gmail, I can just check several items and label them all at one click. Can we do the same thing in Zotero?

    From the documentation:

    "You can also assign tags to multiple items at once by dragging items from the items pane onto tags in the tag selector."

    Color coding would be pretty cool, either by collection or tag (I guess primary tag since multiple colors would just be confusing).
