Development roadmap
I have been toying around with Mendeley lately and was pretty impressed by their approach of gathering user comments/suggestions (cf. http://feedback.mendeley.com/forums/4941-mendeley-feedback). Zotero is still my reference/knowledge management program of choice but I am little bit lost with respect of upcoming functonalities, i.e. what I can expect of the program in the near future. Mendeley has a very transparent way of communicating ongoing work on functions and the roadmap ahead. As far as I know zotero dev offers a glance at the tickets which frankly dont allow me to identify easily the next milestones.
What do you guys think of a user-driven discussion of upcoming features and a developer perspective on implementation timeline?

This is an old discussion that has not been active in a long time. Instead of commenting here, you should start a new discussion. If you think the content of this discussion is still relevant, you can link to it from your new discussion.

unfortunately, nothing developed from this, as far as I can see, and in the second thread, there was no contribution by the developpers, maybe beause the thread was hidden behind a misleading title.
To the developers: Are there any plans to share what you are working on and what your plans for the upcoming releases are? Would be greatly appreciated!
It would be great to have some process by which users can help define and prioritize new features. As discussed in this thread there are very easy implementation options.
Short of that, at least publish some sort of release plan so users know what's on the agenda for the next year or two.
