I need help resolving an integration issue between Zotero and Microsoft Word on my Mac.

Software versions:

Zotero 10.0.7

Microsoft Word 16.114.4

macOS 27.2

Issue:

The Zotero tab appears correctly in Word. However, when I select Add/Edit Citation, an error message appears stating: “Zotero does not have permission to control Word.”

Under System Settings → Privacy & Security → Automation, Zotero does not appear in the list of applications.

Troubleshooting steps already attempted:

Reinstalled the Zotero Word add-in.

Configured the Word Startup folder.

Checked the folder permissions to ensure read and write access.

Reset Automation permissions using tccutil reset AppleEvents.

Specifically reset Zotero's Automation permissions using tccutil reset AppleEvents org.zotero.zotero.

Enabled communication with other applications through localhost:23119.

Unfortunately, the issue persists.
