Google Docs Zotero integration stuck on “Updating…” – Debug ID D172311283

Hello,

I've been experiencing a persistent problem with Zotero's Google Docs integration for several weeks.

Whenever I open a Google Doc and select Zotero → Add/Edit Citation, Google Docs displays “Updating…” but never completes the process. Zotero appears to be running in the background on my desktop, but the citation search window does not open.

When I try again, I sometimes get the message: “A word processor integration command is already running.”

The problem also occurs when I create a completely new, empty Google Doc.

I've already:
- Confirmed that Zotero desktop is running.
- Checked that the Zotero Connector is installed and enabled.
- Tested the Connector's connection to the desktop application.
- Restarted Zotero and my browser.
- Tested the integration in a new Google Doc.

Could someone help me identify what is causing this and how to resolve it?

    Could you produce a Debug ID right after restarting Zotero and refreshing Google Docs tab for an attempt to insert a citation? When this happens, look through all open Zotero windows and see if a citation dialog or alert from Zotero is showing, but didn't come up on top of other windows.
