Zotero 10.0.7 ignores Word section breaks for chapter bibliographies
Hello,
I am using Zotero 10.0.7 (64-bit) with Microsoft Word 2024 on Windows 11 and the ACS citation style.
My manuscript is divided into chapters using Section Breaks (Next Page). Until recently, each chapter had its own bibliography containing only the references cited within that chapter.
After updating to Zotero 10.0.7, Zotero appears to ignore section breaks and generates bibliographies using references from the entire document.
I can reproduce the issue in a new document:
Create a new Word document.
Add a citation in Section 1.
Insert a "Section Break (Next Page)".
Add a different citation in Section 2.
Insert a bibliography at the end of Section 1.
Refresh Zotero.
Expected result: the bibliography in Section 1 contains only references cited in Section 1.
Actual result: the bibliography includes references cited in both sections.
I have confirmed that:
Section breaks are present.
Citations remain editable through Zotero.
The issue occurs in a brand-new document as well as in my manuscript.
Has anything changed in Zotero 10 regarding section-specific bibliographies in Word, or could this be a regression?
Thank you.

dstillman Zotero Teamedited today at 3:55pmZotero has never supported per-section or per-chapter bibliographies. You'd have to use separate documents per chapter.
