Renaming attachments in shared groups

Hi All,
I'm using Zotero 10 and am trying to rename attached files in a shared group library. But, it doesn't work at all. I have to move the file into my local library to get it to work. Any suggestions?

    What exactly are you trying to do? Zotero always renames attached files automatically — you don't have to do anything to get that to happen. If you mean that you've set a custom filename format in the settings, you as an admin have to do that for the group specifically in Settings → General, separately from the setting for your personal library.

    Hi dstillman, thanks for your question. To answer your question, I forgot to mention that the renaming function doesn't work when I first add the file and then add in the bibliographical information in a group library. Would you know what the solution might be? Right now, I'm solving the problem by moving the references to my local library and then renaming the files through Zotero's system preferences button. Thanks!
