Currently, once a passage of text is highlighted in the Zotero PDF reader, it seems impossible to select just a part of that text. For example, if I highlight the sentence "I like machine learning.", I cannot later select just "machine" or "learning" inside it. Clicking on the text only selects the entire highlighted sentence.

In contrast, the built-in PDF viewer in Microsoft Edge supports selecting individual words or substrings inside an already highlighted passage.

It would be very helpful if Zotero's PDF reader could support this as well.
