    Do you have your data directory in the default location, or is it in a cloud storage folder? If the latter, you can't do that.

    It's possible this could happen if you manually deleted zotero.sqlite (but not fulltext.sqlite) or this is a cloud storage folder and the files were synced at different times, and then Zotero's rebuild of the full-text index failed or was interrupted.

    We'll fix, but for now, quit Zotero, open your Zotero data directory, and delete fulltext.sqlite (and fulltext.sqlite-wal / fulltext.sqlite-shm if present). That's just the full-text index, and Zotero should rebuild it automatically when you restart Zotero.

    I'd still be interested in the answer about the data directory, but Zotero 10.0.7, available now, should fix this once it has occurred.
