Hello,
I am experiencing a persistent problem with the Zotero Word integration.
**System information:**
- Zotero 10.0.6 (64-bit)
- Microsoft Word for Microsoft 365, Version 2609, Build 16.0.20430.20032 (64-bit)
- Windows
**Problem:**
When I click “Refresh” in the Zotero tab in Word, everything works correctly. However, when I try to insert a new citation into the middle of an existing text using “Add/Edit Citation”, I receive the following error:
“An error occurred while updating your document.”
Sometimes Word closes automatically after this error appears.
The problem occurs repeatedly. Saving the document again may temporarily help, but the error returns.
**Troubleshooting steps already tried:**
- Saved a copy of the document outside OneDrive, on the local C: drive.
- Created a new Word document and copied the text into it.
- Reinstalled the Microsoft Word add-in through Zotero’s settings.
- Restarted Zotero and Word.
The problem persists.
