New plugin: zotero-reference-checker
I wasn't really satisfied with the existing Zotero extensions for handling references, so I built my own.
When I read a paper, it shows me which of its references are already in my library and which ones I'm missing. What I wanted most was to find references by section: I can pick "Literature review" or "Problem description" and see only the papers cited there.
For a missing reference, I just click "Add": it opens its DOI page so I can save it to Zotero, PDF included. It's also related to ScienceDirect API, to download it directly. It's also possible to jump to where each reference is cited in the text.
I let you test it and give me your feedbacks.

A few minor things I found in v1.3.1 ...
I see that for a format with numbered citations/reference list, the plugin's tab list does not show the number next to the reference. That would help when you click on 'Cited in text' under a listed reference, to see that it is jumping to the correct citation number in the text.
When one clicks on a particular section (eg 'Results and discussion'), the 'Cited in text' button shows how many citations of that reference there are in that section, but seemingly only after you have clicked on the button (eg 1/2, 2/3, etc.) ? It would be good to show the number of citations in the section as soon as a section is selected (sometimes it did seem to be doing that, but not always ?). It also seemed to *not* show numbers for single, '1/1' citations in the button text (or that could have been where say reference #4 was cited in the text in the format '[3-6]' ... I couldn't quite figure out what was triggering that).
When you click on 'Show' (in library) it would be good if, upon returning from the library listing to the paper's reader tab, that the plugin's tab re-opened at the same reference.
Showing which references are already under Related, and adding the ability to add others to Related, would be good.
I did test several papers with common formats where it failed to find citations by section ('Citation not located' equalled the total number of references), despite all the section headings being shown (dimmed). 'In reference list' returned 'Entry not found' for all. The list itself was fine (from Crossref).
