If you run into any problems, let us know in a new thread.
  • Thank you for this life changing feature!
  • It’s absolutely wonderful that you folks are doing this. The premium voice I tried, because the sound and intonation were so natural, was significantly less distracting and focusing on the content was much easier.

In using so far, I’ve noticed that one thing that would be extremely helpful would be to allow the skip forward function to be set to move to next page, as when there are footnotes I ordinarily will want to skip and when there are a lot of footnote it can get quite annoying.

Thanks again for adding this feature!
  • The premium voices are so much better than the standard ones.

If you can make the premium voices available offline, I'd pay for the feature.

    Thank you for your work
  • Any chance that you can add "download this document for offline listening"?

Not sure if this can be done by downloading the audio for the document, that can then be played without the Internet connection or that you can download the model to use offline...

The stock voices are too robotic and are more annoying than useful.

    Thank you
  • I haven’t been able to figure out how to make it start reading from a particular point once it has started reading. I’d like to go back a page but selecting the text and restarting the reader doesn’t do anything — carries on from where it was before. Any guidance would be welcome.
  • Ah got it — hold long enough to get a contextual menu, and then select read aloud.

@dwoodruff: You have to choose Read Aloud from the context menu — either the one that appears when you long-press on whitespace or the one that appears when you have text selected — rather than clicking the toolbar button again. (The one for whitespace has the advantage of appearing in the first set of visible options without needing to tap on an arrow.)
