Library missing after changing computer

Hi,

I started using Zotero in April 2026 and created a Zotero account at the same time (username: perand). I recently changed computers and no longer have access to the old computer.

After installing Zotero on the new computer and logging into the same account, I discovered that my library is empty. My Web Library on zotero.org is also empty.

I have tested adding a new reference in Zotero on my new computer, and it immediately appears in the Web Library, so syncing is working now.

I have already checked the new computer and available backups for the old Zotero database (zotero.sqlite) but have not found it.

Is it possible to check whether my Zotero account had previously synced library data to the Zotero servers, or whether there is any server-side history that could help determine what happened to my library?

    No, you hadn't synced this account before a couple days ago. So either you were using a different account previously or you didn't set up syncing.

    If you can find the data from the old computer, you can just transfer over the data directory.
