Upgrade StorageCopy to clipboard nto working in multiple browsers
Hello, I haven’t been able to copy items to the clipboard in Zotero the way I normally do (I’ve been using Zotero and this functionality for many years—clicking the book stack icon and then copy to clipboard). I’ve tried DuckDuckGo, Safari, Google Chrome. No luck.
I select a source in my web library, select style (have tried APA, MLA, and Chicago to test, no luck with any of these), and click ‘copy to clipboard.’ The button briefly reads ‘Copied!’ but then goes back to ‘Copy to clipboard’, which I think is not typical? When I try to paste in various programs (Word on Mac, Gmail, Notes, GoogleDocs) the last thing I pasted (some text from the document I’m editing) shows up, but not the citation from Zotero. I have tried paste with key commands, dropdown menu options, mouse etc.
Have tried to use the desktop Zotero and Zotero in Word to input citations and bibliography to the WordDoc. That doesn’t seem to work either. I can insert citations but not a bibliography entry. Tried to convert a citation to a bib entry and this entered copied text from my editing process, not the citation).
Have cleared cache on browsers, turned it all off and on again, restarted all the programs. No luck.
Any thoughts?

Locally, I think you're misunderstanding: You'd use the Word plugin to insert citations and then could add a bibliography with all citations using "Add Bibliography".
If you just want a bibliography, select the items in Zotero, right-click --> Create Bibliography
and then follow the pop up options to copy the bibliography in your desired citation style to the clipboard.
You can also use quick copy
