IpadOS: Pencil tools

This is a feature request - I use the iPadOS app with apple pencil 2 - would it be possible to include in settings different options for what the double tap function on the pencil does in zotero?

I'd ideally like it to switch between the current and last tool used, which would alow me to easily switch between underlining and highlighting; but I know others want different functions like undo/color switching. Would be great to have these be different options available for the pencil on the iPad.

    Zotero app already respects the system Settings.app > Apple Pencil > Actions you have set, as long as there is an equivalent one. So what you ask is already possible. If somehow that doesn't happen for you, please provide more feedback.

    Ah, ok, it definitely doesn't happen for me. My ipad is set to "Switch between current tool and last used" for the double-tap function in the Apple Pencil Action settings. It works in other apps, but in zotero it simply does nothing.

    (I'm on iPadOS 26.3.1, using apple pencil 2)

    You need to have the annotation toolbar open for this to happen. For the time being this is supported for PDFs only. Make certain that you have the latest Zotero version as well.
