A draft of chapter 2 of my PhD dissertation suddenly won't allow me to update existing citations. I can add new citations of a source previously cited, but they appear as if I am citing them for the first time.
I have extensively used Claude and Chat to try to fix this but the issue remains. This is 50 page document with over 300 citations. I am not having this issue in other chapters of my dissertation of the same length or longer.
Upgrade Storage
We'd have to know more about which word processor you're using, but this has all known reasons this happens.
