I am getting a green bar but cannot type in my author to get citation

I am having difficulty in Word with my bibliography and dropping in in-text citations for Turabian. I have purchased more space, thinking that was the issue. But I get a green line that will not let me enter the source information in it. I have had other issues with add ins for Word recently because of the update. Can anyone please help me? sometimes it is a green line and now it does a green line and goes right to this image. Can someone walk me through on how to change it?

    The picture is below; it has this text box for citations and not the usual one that sits in the middle of the page. It also will not do a bibliography. I was used to a middle-of-the-page scrolling. Now, occasionally, it is green and does not allow typing. I need help and am not very computer savvy at all. Please, someone, help me reset or adjust. Thank you.

    Which exact versions of Word and Zotero? The layout of the dialog has changed, but this doesn't look quite right.

    The storage for Zotero isn't relevant for this -- I meant the Zotero version under Help --> About Zotero.

    Also, make sure to try this in Troubleshooting mode (Help --> Restart in Troubleshooting Mode). Same issue?

    Finally, do you have the same problem in a new, empty document?

    @Laurakaypetrie: Make sure you're running Zotero 10 (Help → Check for Updates…). Beyond that, it's not clear there's any sort of problem here. Note that there's a new citation dialog in Zotero 9 and later. You can drag the dialog anywhere on the screen.

    It happens in any Word doc that I open. Even a brand-new document.
    I think I have the last one. I updated it and even deleted it from Word, updated and put it back as an add-in. However, I just tried the troubleshooting mode restart you suggested. Waiting... I tested citations, and I got a weird citation with an underline. It was the correct citation but underlined.

    dstillman Thank you as well. I think that because in the Help, it did not say I had any updates, I am on Zotero 10. now. Thank you for the link to the classic citation dialog; I will review this and see. However, I still cannot get my bibliography up. What if my mentor formatted my dissertation and made a brand new document, and then I added to it? I think that is why. She messed with my original, and now I cannot drop in a bibliography. Would I need to go through all 300 pages and create a new document with citations only to get a bib? I am thinking that might be it too. I am going to check out the link and get back to you both.

    Okay. I now see that it is new and the formatting has changed, yet it works. I know how to put in the page numbers, and everything is kind of okay with citations. However, I still get ___________ these kinds of lines under my citations? Weird, and it must be something I chose by accident? Any hints on how to get rid of these lines?

    Also, any help with how I can get my bibliography to sync up with my Word document, or did I mess that up when it was copied to a new document?
