Report ID: 1470028649 Unable to sync Linux Desktop client with on-line storage

I'm not sure how much detail is required. The Report Error message box (version 10.0.1) says nobody will review the bug reports unless posted here.

I'm running Linux Mint and Zotero Desktop and Zotero on Windows 11. This morning I created another sub-collection and added articles using Windows 11. The changes were synced to the on-line Zotero storage. The changes were NOT synced to Zotero Desktop on Linux. When I press the Sync icon in the upper right hand corner I get a box that says Report Error. I press the button and I get this error number with a note to post to the forum.

Don't know if this is a bug or something misconfigured. Syncing between Linux and Zotero storage was working fine. I'm using the latest version of Zotero on Linux and Windows. (10.0.1).

Thanks for any help!
  • Restart in Troubleshooting Mode (Help → "Restart in Troubleshooting Mode…”), which temporarily disables all plugins. If that fixes it, you'll need to identify the plugin that's causing it and then report the problem to the plugin's developer. If not, provide a Debug ID (different from a Report ID) for a sync that fails.
  • I restarted in Troubleshooting mode. Same error with ID: 1567725870.

I have two plugins installed; Better BibTeX for Zotero and ZotLit. Both plugins were disabled by entering troubleshooting mode.

You didn't provide a Debug ID.
  • Sorry didn't follow your instructions!

OK, thanks. Zotero can't read your saved sync key out of the system keyring. You may be able to fix that by installing some packages.

You can also try the Zotero beta (which will shortly become 10.0.2) — that should show a clearer error, and it can save your credentials unencrypted if you can't fix the keyring.
