Chrome Extension Corrupt

I noticed that the Zotero extension on my chrome browser disappeared from my toolbar. When I went into chrome extensions it says that zotero is corrupt. I try to "repair" it and it does not help. I have tried to uninstall and reinstall zotero on chrome and I get the same issue. Has anyone found a fix to this issue?

Can you provide a screenshot of the exact error you're getting? The Zotero Connector is just installed from the Chrome Web Store — the extension itself can't be corrupt, though there may be some problem with your OS or Chrome installation that's breaking things.

And if you uninstall it, restart your computer, and reinstall it, you get the same message?

What exact version of Chrome? You can try reinstalling Chrome. But this could be a sign of malware on your computer — I believe you'd get this if something modified the extension files outside of Chrome.

Thanks. I will try uninstalling, restarting the computer, and reinstalling.

My chrome is version 152.0.7977.65.

I also checked in Microsoft edge and get the same thing. So I am wondering if it could also be the cyber security software my company has placed on my computer that is flagging it.
