Zotero 10.0.1 Linux sync account fails

OS - CachyOS
Zotero version - 10.0.1
Web browser - Firefox 154.0
Kernel: Linux 7.2.0-1-cachyos

Downloaded the linux tar from website https://www.zotero.org/download/
unzipped to /opt/zotero. Modified user perms for my user.
Launched Zotero went to account -> sync.
Logged in successfully and linked account, went back to Zotero application and
stuck on syncing / waiting for login under the Account menu.

Tried enabling debug logs - nothing was particularly helpful.

We'd need a Debug ID for reproducing this.

NS_ERROR_ABORT: User canceled OS unlock entry
Are you canceling an OS keystore access prompt, or did you previously? If the latter, you may need to adjust the system privacy settings. Zotero stores the sync API key in the OS keystore.
  • cachy prompted me for a kdewallet password upon logging into Zotero and closing the browser and that seemed to resolved the issue. Thanks. https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/KDE_Wallet
  • I am having a similar issue with signing into zotero 10.0.1 on a linux machine running redhat 8.10-0.3.el8.x86_64 managed by my employer but it does not prompt me for any password when I close the browser after signing in. My debug is is D1972135915.

Same issue — Zotero 10 can't access the OS keystore to more securely save API keys and WebDAV login credentials. You should fix that if possible, but if you can't, the Zotero beta will now prompt to fall back to unencrypted credential storage.
