Is there a way to prevent Zotero updates at all? I understand plugins are not the responsibility of Zotero team, but I make a livelihood out of it and I need a Zotero with fewer features but more stable. I would like to update only when everything works, plugins included

Hey, with no extensions installed. Well, not BBT then.

Set app.update.auto to false to prevent automatic Zotero updates, turn off extensions.update.enabled for plugin updates.

Nono if you are talking with me I have extensions installed and I have BBT. But I want to update Zotero only when all the ecosystem is ready. I'm satisfied with the current features and I need a stable system

Oh sorry, I confused you with unknowuser123. But yeah if you turn those off, you will get no updates unless you request them manually (from the Help menu and the plugins screen, respectively).

Do keep in mind that for BBT I only offer support on the latest release, so if you run into an issue, you will need to upgrade. I can imagine the Zotero crew will say the same, but I do not speak for them.
