Fail to connect with google docs

After updating to the new version, the Google Docs connector isn't working. It is installed and active, but the connector isn't working with the web in general: neither for saving new files to my Zotero library nor for inserting citations in Google Docs.

    None of the options in the link help. The browser is up to date, the connector extension is up to date, and Zotero is up to date. Zotero is open while I try to save documents or use the Google Docs extension, yet nothing works. The Zotero save icon in the browser remains grayed out and fails to save documents, even though it has permission to access all sites.

    I can't make citations in Google Docs or save files using the browser's shortcut icon.
