bug
The crash still occurs after restarting Zotero in Troubleshooting Mode, with third-party plugins temporarily disabled.
The issue happens when quitting Zotero. macOS shows a crash report with:
- Zotero 9.0.6 (ARM64)
- macOS 26.5.2 (25F84)
- Exception: EXC_BAD_ACCESS / SIGSEGV
- Faulting thread: MainThread
- Incident ID: 0E6AD4A4-017D-4245-97A6-7C0F0D687F54
The crash is reproducible even in Troubleshooting Mode. The local database integrity check and foreign-key check pass.
Could you advise on next steps?

Upgrade Storage
If you don't mind switching to the beta for a few weeks until Zotero 10 comes out, you should test with the Zotero 10 beta. (You could also close Zotero, make a backup copy of zotero.sqlite in your Zotero data directory, and swap it back in after testing, and then keep using Zotero 9.)
You're also getting many sync errors due to your using some plugin or AI tool that created objects with invalid keys that can't sync. You'll need to 1) contact the tool developer and ask them to fix it and to fix your database, 2) identify the objects and delete them (and empty the trash), or 3) delete your database and sync to pull down your online library. I'm afraid we can't help further with this.
