I can't open the file

Hi, I'm a University of Toronto OISE student, and my deparment offers unlimited Zotero account.

I've been using Zotero fine for last 4-5 years, and I couldn't open files from my laptop and it said that I exceeded quota, I checked and it says 300MB,

However, when I tried to open the files from Zotero on my desktop, I was able to open the files, no problem.

The account should be synced, but on my laptop I see that red exlacamation mark noting that I exceeded the quota, which I don't see on my desktop.

I don't understand why it does this.

Please help.

You're not covered by an institutional subscription.

The quota warning would appear wherever you've added files that couldn't be uploaded due to being at your 300 MB quota, and those files wouldn't be accessible on other devices.
  • Hi,

    My institution covers unlimited subscription.

The quota warning only appears on my laptop, but I can add and open files on my desktop.

I believe there's a technical glitch, please help with this.

  • I am a current PhD student at University of Toronto, and I've confirmed with my department saying that I have unlimited quota covered.

Again, you are not covered by an institutional subscription. University of Toronto does not have an institutional subscription. If there's some smaller lab subscription that you think you should be covered by, the administrator would have to add your email address to the lab subscription. They can email storage@zotero.org if they have questions on that. As it stands, your account is not covered by any subscription and has the 300 MB free quota.
