Is the "Undo" function in MS/Word more frequently not available, or am I going crazy?

I don't trust my memory here, but it does seem that previous versions of Zotero did not cause the undo function to be disabled - which is what happens when you run a macro in Excel, I recognize that. I've just never experienced it in Word with Zotero.

I'm working on a long journal article, and it now it seems that every edit I make, when I look up, the Undo button is not available. Hmm.

If this is expected behavior, I'd like to know for sure so I can change my workflow to not interact with zotero until it's citation time. Right now, I cite as I go, and change / move things frequently. Losing the ability to undo is messing with my creation thought process.

If this is a result of the fix to zotero after the office update broke it, can you recommend a settings toggle to help me re-enable undo? Perusing menus hasn't shown me a solution yet.

This isn't something that we generally observe. What version of Word and Windows are you running? Does it happen if you close Word completely and restart it? In the past the Undo Record that Zotero citation insertion creates could break if the command fails, and possibly break all further Undo commands in Word, but that shouldn't be the case with the current version of the plugin.

Can you reproduce this consistently? Note that insertions that insert unformatted, ASCII only text follow a simpler insertion path, and may not cause breakage that more complex inserts would (those that include non-ASCII characters, or text formatting, so e.g. every Bibliography update).
