Style modifier for adjusting citation formats encountered a style error.

After adding the required citation format, I wanted to make personalized modifications to it, but couldn't find the corresponding style in the style editor. In Word, however, the added citation format can be displayed correctly.

    I'd guess that you're just using a dependent style. You'd have to edit a copy of the style it's based on.

    Thanks for your comment! For example, I added the "Chemical Engineering Journal" CSL citation style and confirmed that it appears in the style manager. However, when I wanted to modify some details to better suit my needs, I couldn't find it in the style editor.

    Right -- that style is just a link to Elsevier with Titles, i.e. a dependent style. You'll want to edit the Elsevier style directly.
