Feature Request: EPUB Reading Progress
I am ecstatic that EPUB reading is now supported across desktop, iOS, and Android (well, at least in beta). But the one feature that's missing from the EPUB reader that I didn't know I loved in other apps until it was missing here is reading progress in the footer, e.g., things like:
- "Page 123 of 456" (pages in book)
- "123/456" (pages in book, succinct)
- "27%" (pages in book, percentage)
- "This Chapter (3/24)" (pages in chapter)
- "This Chapter (12%)" (pages in chapter, percentage)
- "5 min left in chapter" (time left in chapter)
- "4 hrs 21 min left in book" (time left in book)
I realize that this makes more sense for e-books than it does for academic articles, so perhaps there should also be a setting to disable it completely (e.g., in the appearance settings menu where we can choose light/dark mode, spreads, page layout).
Is something like this of interest to the broader community?

Upgrade Storage
In the desktop app (9.0.5.SOURCE.f0bcd5ae1), the EPUB reader gives intelligent page numbers: both the absolute page number out of total number of pages (e.g., "15/172") and the page label as it appears in the book (starting with the preface pages i, ii, etc.). An abridged version of this functionality appears in the iOS app (v2.0.7 build 461) as the page label and the total number of pages (e.g., "ix of 172"). My experience with the Android beta (v1.0.0-252) has been more mixed; sometimes the footer shows "Page # (X%)" and other times it doesn't.
I can't tell if this is actually an issue with the reading progress being displayed or if it's about an incorrectly placed footer covering it up.
