Deleting attachments from online storage

Hi, I've recently started using Zotero and have inadvertently uploaded all the PDFs from my library which has filled my storage quota.

I can see in the options that I can choose to sync only the attachments from groups but telling the software not to sync the library attachments does not seem to have deleted them from the online storage.

I would like to delete the attachments associated with the library items but keep those associated with groups. Is this possible from within the software or through the website interface?
  • Do you want to actually delete the PDFs in your personal library locally, or just not sync them?

If the latter, you can just purge storage from the bottom of your storage settings and then disable file syncing for your personal library.
  • Great, thanks. The purge storage button is exactly what I was looking for this morning but somehow completely missed when I looked at those settings.

    Problem solved.
  • What If I have the same problem (the PDFs are already online) and I want to remove the PDFs from my personal library from online but not from my shared library? Do I set it so that neither sync, then purge the PDFs, then reestablish the sync for the shared library? I which direction will the shared library sync?
  • @clermontk: "Purge Storage in My Library" applies only to My Library (hence the name) and has nothing to do with group libraries, if that's what you mean. And nothing to do with the local library-sync options.
