Upgrade StorageError when adding citation – "An error occurred updating your document"
Hello,
I'm getting the error "An error occurred updating your document" whenever I try to add or edit a citation in Word. The popup shows the path to Zotero.exe (C:/Program Files/Zotero/Zotero.exe).
What I've already tried:
Reinstalled Zotero
Reinstalled the Word Add-in
Tried new documents
Changed citation style
Extended memory
The Zotero toolbar in Word works partially – I can click "Edit Bibliography" but not "Add Citation" or "Edit Citation".

Windows, Microsoft 365. No updates were pending in Zotero.
