Syncing Issues

Hello,

I keep getting the message below whenever I open the Zotero app on my laptop. Can someone help me understand why this keeps happening and how to fix it? I have shortened the title a few times, and that is not fixing the issue. Please help me! Thank you!

"The creator name “Julia W. Gargano, PhD1; Ruth Stefanos, MD1,2; Rebe…” in one of your items is too long to sync. Shorten the field and sync again."
  • This isn't a title, it's a creator -- is this always the same one or do you get different creators? The most common case we've seen this happen for is creators imported from OVID databases with broken RIS. If you've done this at scale, it could well be a large number of items in your library.

    May I ask, how can I fix this?
  • Just import the work from pubmed (which gets the authors right) and then merge it with the one with the broken author list. Or delete the long author and add the correct authors manually.
