request for EPUB reader: option to respect original line-height and typography
Hi,
I wanted to ask whether it would be possible to add a few more “original styling” options for EPUBs.
1. The main one would be an option to respect the EPUB’s original CSS line-height / line spacing, similar to “Use original font.” Zotero’s reader line-height is useful, but for some designed EPUBs it can affect drop caps.
2. More generally, a per-book “respect publisher typography” option could be helpful. I realize Zotero has its own reader controls but for some designed EPUBs it would be helpful to have a way to opt into the book’s original CSS instead.
3. I also wanted to ask whether the iOS/iPadOS EPUB reader could get the same original-font / original-typography options as desktop. At the moment, it seems body text uses Zotero’s default reader font, while headings the EPUB’s embedded fonts.
Thanks for considering this!

AbeJellinek Zotero TeamCould you email an example EPUB to support@zotero.org and include a link to this thread? We could consider this, but it feels pretty fiddly (we couldn't disable all of our CSS, because a lot of it is necessary to make the book display correctly at all) and I'd rather just make our CSS cooperate better with publisher style choices. Is it just the drop caps issue, or are you seeing other problems in the same / other books?
