I wanted to provide feedback for how Read Aloud could be improved for social scientists in future updates. For those of us who frequently read articles in APA style, using Read Aloud features can be really frustrating because each sentence is interrupted with citations that include last names and dates. (This makes it really hard to grasp difficult concepts interupted by citations). It would be a huge improvement if your Read Aloud feature had a setting that would allow us to skip the in-text citations when reading for comprehension. I have only found one external software that does this (ClaroRead SE), but it doesn't always work when using Zotero, so having this embedded in your Read Aloud options would be ideal.
