Zotero Word Plugin Loads but Does Nothing on macOS 26.5 / Word 16.109.2

macOS 26.5, Word 16.109.2, Zotero 9.0.4 ARM64. Word loads Zotero.dotm from the Office startup folder. Zotero macros are visible in Tools → Macro → Macros. No Zotero ribbon or menu appears. Running ZoteroAddEditCitation does nothing (no dialog, no error). Removed com.apple.quarantine from Zotero.dotm, reinstalled the Word add-in, and rebooted. Issue persists.

Hi. Hoping someone can help me with this, please. Even my IT professionals at the university are at a loss. The only way I can cite is to generate a bibliography from items in the Zotero app and copy it to a clipboard, then paste in to Word. I've reinsatlled Word and the Zotero add-in again, but stioll no dice :( Thanks - Matt

If you open a new Word document, then open Terminal.app and paste in

curl -X GET "http://127.0.0.1:23119/integration/macWordCommand?agent=MacWord16&command=addEditCitation&document=/Applications/Microsoft Word.app/&templateVersion=2"

do you see a citation dialog appear from Zotero and does it insert a citation into Word at your cursor position?

Thanks for getting back to me :) I solved the problem 5 minutes ago ... turns out it was jamf restrictions from my employer that blocked macros. I've now been given an exception and Zotero works!
