Limiting my ability to insert a citation

I inserted citations in the first three pages of the document. In the fourth page, Zotero would not let me insert citations. Instead, I get a message that I must place the cursor in a Zotero citation to edit it. I do not need editing. I do not understand why it is doing this.

You are attempting to insert a citation in the document in a place where you likely have a {Citation} placeholder from a previous attempt to insert a citation that failed. You should remove the {Citation} placeholder text in the document, and attempt to insert again. We'll improve the error message that is shown in situations like this in a future release.

@Grisenia13 You may also be placing your cursor in the bibliography that you have inserted with Zotero, and using the Add/Edit Citation button. If you are, you should place the cursor in the text of the document, where you want to insert a citation. To edit the bibliography directly, use the Add/Edit Bibliography button.
