Unclear date, Chicago Manual of Style

Hi,
Is there a way to add an uncertain date in [ ] in Chicago Manual of Style?
I would like to add that the document was published [after 1948] as that is the only date I can refer to with certainty.

That works! But adding "after" does not. Is there any way I can add this specification?
