Zotero 9 bug or setting?

Zotero automatically updated to v9. Now, when I have a footnote with a duplicate source used previously in the same document, instead of copying the abbreviated source used earlier, Zotero simply shows {Citation}. What's the fix?

Certainly not a setting, but also not a general issue. Could you provide precise steps to reproduce, including which word processor, citation style, and anything else potentially relevant.

When Zotero updated to v.9, I received an error and prompt to enter Troubleshooting mode, if desired. I closed Zotero and re-opened it and that is when I found the duplicate source issue. So I wonder if there was a corrupted file somewhere.

Using Word from Office 365 subscription. Chicago Manual of Style 18th Edition (notes and bibliography).

I opened a new document this morning and tested a few entries with a duplicate source. Sometimes it worked hitting "enter," other times I had to click on the checkmark. I think it appears to be working OK and seems consistent. Perhaps some of this was user-related, I don't know; however, it does appear to be syncing OK now. Will watch and see when I get to a larger document. Thanks.
